Extra-Curricular

Students have the opportunity to participate in both individual and team sports.  These include Bantam and Senior football for grades 7 through 12, senior golf, junior and senior volleyball and basketball, cross-country running, boys and girls rugby, badminton, with the school cheerleading and the sports season ending with track and field.

Unique from a traditional student union, Cold Lake High School uses a leadership development model, where students from all grades are encouraged to “take the lead” in organizing student activities and also in becoming citizens, contributing to global causes.  Projects done by students include the building of a school and water well in Kenya in prior years. Most recently, a Haitian reflief benefit concert was organized and held at the CLHS threatre.  An annual "Coffeehouse" raises money for global causes and is a well recognized tradtion in Cold Lake.
